Socio-Economic
& Environment Development Society (SEEDS)
was established in August 18,2001 as an initiative of
Mr. Md.Mostafa Kamal and a group of social workers with
specific vision, mission, goal and objectives. The Organization
was established to achieve a mandate of establishment
of a society of economically self reliant, environmentally
sound, socially peaceful and democratically empowered.
The organization is implementing its development activities
focusing a range of rural population who are so stressed,
landless, economically weak, socially destitute, under-privileged
and others of the poorest of the poor.
The
organization owns a legal authority to operate its activities
in the country through necessary registration under relevant
government agencies like Department of Social Welfare
(Regd No.: Ma 01385 Date: 06 August 2003) & NGO Affairs
Bureau (Regd No.: 2324 Date: 24 March 2008) of Bangladesh.
The socio-economic situation of people of working areas
of SEEDS is very much backward. Such as landless, poverty,
unemployment, malnutrition, illiteracy, absence of major
population from social decision making process and resource
constraints are some major problems in these areas.
With
these socio-Economic realities, SEEDS started its mission
to facilitate the targeted partners toward their sustainable
development and social transformation though technology
transfer, make free excess and optimum use of local resources.
